Senior Soccer League (O-40)

Here is some important information for all referees working the SSL (over 40) League:

This is a USSF sanctioned league part of the SOASA under the USASA.
All players will have a valid registration card. NO CARD NO PLAY!
Players have to be at least 40 years old, or turn 40 sometime during this calendar year.
Send game report within 24 hours to:
- Jim Coburn
- 72 North Children's Home Rd.
- Troy, OH 45373
- Include player passes for any player sent off!
- Make sure all cautions are the recorded as the league keeps track of them for disciplinary reasons!
- Use a regular USSF game report.
  - The teams will NOT provide you with this, nor envelopes and stamps. This will be the responsibility of the referee. You can also use the online report at www.dasoa.org and e-mail to Jim at casi-jcoburn@woh.rr.com
  - Jim's phone number is 937-339-8348, should you need it.
FIFA Laws of the Game applies with the following exceptions:
- Unlimited substitutions
- Substitution opportunities are
  - Prior to throw-in (team of possession only)
  - Prior to goal kick
  - After a goal is scored.
  - After an injury (injured player(s) with the opposing team allowed equal number of subs)
  - After a caution (only the cautioned player)
  - Prior to start of second half
Grace time for a team to field 7 players is at the discretion of the referee with a minimum of 15 mins.
If a team cannot field enough players, players from any other SSL team may join as "guest players".
- However, "guest players" can only be added to reach a total number of 10 players for that team.
- Example: Team A can only field 6 players and even though there are 5 available "guest players", only 4 of them may play.
- If another Team A player shows up, he can play but now only 3 "guest players" are allowed.
- Bottom line: If any "guest players" are playing, the total number for the team can be max 10.
Maximum of 18 players dressed for a game.
In case of color conflict, home team changes.
Each player on a team must wear a different jersey number.
The game fees are the same as the DASL: 40/25/25 or 45/29 or 60 - Each team pays half.
