LATEST DASOA NEWS

The United States Adult Soccer Association will be inducting Ken Baldeosingh into the USASA Hall Of Fame on Friday, October 10, 2008 in San Antonio, Texas.

Nominated as an Administrator with a minor in Officiating, Chanka (Ken) Baldeosingh has been a devoted advocate of Adult Soccer in the vicinities of Southern Ohio for the past thirty-four years. On the field, he has served as a referee in adult games since 1974. Off the field, he has worked tirelessly for adult soccer in his capacity as Assessor, Assignor, Instructor, and Administrator. Mr. Baldeosingh has been involved with the Board of the Southern Ohio Adult Soccer Association for thirteen years, accomplishing a noticeable increase in the numbers of leagues and players for the Association. He represented USASA Region II as the Referee Administrator for ten years beginning in 1995. During that time he encouraged and mentored an unprecedented number of Region II referees to attain National and FIFA levels. The level of all adult soccer officials increased as a result. He currently serves on the USASA Referee Committee.

Welcome to DASOA

The objectives of DASOA, whose members are all registered with the Referee Program of the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) are to:

    • Provide a structure for the dissemination of USSF referee information, high quality instruction, and mentoring.

    • Provide an atmosphere in which peers gain a better understanding of The Laws of the Game through interaction and discussion.

    • Provide a program for re-certification and upgrading under USSF guidelines through the State Soccer Association.

    • Promote sportsmanship among players, coaches, and spectators.

    • Advocate the assignment of members as the most competent sanctioned referees to officiate league, state and nationally sanctioned matches.

    • Advocate for individual members in all matters related to participation in the sport of soccer as a USSF referee.

This site serves the membership in many ways. It provides specifics on the meeting places and educational agenda; contains information on entry-level USSF referee courses, advanced clinics, and re-certification opportunities; and articles on theory and philosophy of officiating.

The DASOA welcomes new members as it continues to build an organization to serve the youth and adult soccer programs in the Miami Valley with quality soccer officiating. If you have questions or would like more information about the organization, you may want to contact an officer (see Board or Contacts).

We hope that we can be of service to you and that we have the opportunity to welcome you as a member in our organization at some future time. Please refer to our section on Joining for further information about how you can become a member.
